Description
The Balvenie is a Scottish-based single-molt Scotch whiskey brand. The recipe, which has been around for more than 130 years since William Grant’s foundation in 1892, contains a brand philosophy that respects the value of manual work and takes the transfer of technology through people as its mission. Balvenie’s Malt Master David Stewart’s development of the industry’s first ‘cask finishing’ to steril whiskey in two different oak casks also stems from a tradition but unhesitating new experiments and challenges. The quintessence of that challenge, the Doublewood Year 12, is a product that is talked about today when it comes to single malt whiskey. Even in modern times, when revenue and efficiency are valued, Balveni is building its own genre in the whiskey market, balancing tradition and innovation.

The most important thing before the experiment is ‘to be perceived as a Balvenie’. We don’t want people to buy or taste products that are not Balvenie style. We always try variations and are proud of these attempts, but we always try to come back to Balvenie’s DNA.
Calci McKenney, Malt Master of The Balvenie
I think people who recognize and respect each other enjoy whiskey. Whiskey is a delicate and slow drink that there is a Glencaren glass to savor the aroma. No one forces you to drink quickly So it’s a drink that I drink according to my own tempo, so it’s a drink that can respect the other person’s tempo.
